received two Mate808 cameras, one with 70° lens and one with
120° lens. WEIGHT Weight of camera without flash card. 70° 120° Weight of my Samsung SDHC 32GB is 0.24g. Weight of my 808 #16 V1 camera with D lens, no lens cap, is 18.6g. SIZE & CASE 120° 70° The plastic case has approximately the shape of the original 808 from 2009. The bottom surface is rounded so it does not sit flat like the 808 #16. The case bottom is embossed with "#18", probably because the producer of the 808 #18 makes the Mate808. INITIAL USB CHARGE CURRENT When received, I started charging the cameras. The 120° camera took longer to charge, so the initial charge might have been lower. Initial charge current: 70° 120° FIRMWARE 160419 Firmware version JH_7556_03543459.bin is 30 FPS and seems to have no missing frames. 160418 The Firmware as delivered was 30 FPS but had about 23% missing frames. PHOTO FILE Photo resolution is always 1280x720. JPG. Every image is 1.25 MB (1311344 bytes). Applies to both lenses and any video resolution. VIDEO FILE Video file wrapper - AVI. Video stream - codec is MJPG. Missing frame rate - Firmware JH_7556_03543459.bin is 30 FPS and seems to have no missing frames. Missing frame rate was tested using single-frame-step in VirtualDub and the KMPlayer. This missing frame rate applies to both 720p and 1080p. Audio Stream - Audio stream is always PCM. Sample Rate 32000. Bit rate 512 Kbps. One channel. 70° 70° Measured horizontal angle of view (HAOV) Test1 - At a 36 inch distance, an 11 inch wide paper page is 628 pixels wide in a 1920x1080 frame. From this data, the calculated HAOV of 50.07 degrees. Test2 - Using a tape measure the full width of the image. TBD. 120° 120° Sample KMPlayer Media Info, Outdoor sunny daylight.
