Martin
from Slovakia
just reported this camera and I am collecting more
information. Bought from eBay skytall. Martin reports: Video length is not more than a maximum of 10 minutes. Then begins a new video. After filling the memory card, the camera turns off. It does not support continuous recording. The date and time is set, just as the V9. When you turn off the camera and turn on again, it's time to 2012-05-01 23:59:59 After deleting TAG.TXT, reappears with 2012-05-01 23:59:59. (unique features in bold) AVI All three sample AVI files are somewhat corrupt. They do not play in VirtualDub and Windows 7 does not display an icon preview. They play in Media Player and KMplayer, and they import into Windows Live Movie Maker and TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress. Data rate is 110MB per minute (high for a 480p camera). VIDEO MJPEG, 720x480, 30.000 FPS Date time stamp is bold yellow unique large font in lower right. Aspect ratio distorted. Video frames are 1.5 but must be displayed at 1.33. The missing frame rate is about 17%. PHOTOS JPG, 720x480. Date time stamp is bold yellow unique large font in lower right. Aspect ratio distorted. JPG is 1.5 but must be displayed at 1.33. AUDIO PCM, 16000, 16 bit, 256 Kbps. No noisy artifacts. OTHER Only one crystal and no SDRAM chip. Most 808 cameras have two crystals and one is for the real time clock (RTC) when off (standby) so that the date time is correct when turned on. This camera seems to not have a RTC crystal and does not keep the date time when off. Processor label "A616408.1 1225". Eight pin chip label "BX 120511 G25Q80-12G TAIWAN" (Bao Xin, probably a 1MB serial SPI flash memory chip and holds firmware). |
